Verification of entry

At the beginning of the election period, the Directeur général des élections du Québec will send you a notice informing you of your registration. You must verify the data on this notice. Remember that your name must be correctly entered on the list of electors if you want to vote.

In addition, the staff of our Information Centre can do this verification for you.

During the election period, you must go to the revision office to make changes to the list of electors. A relative, your spouse or a person who lives with you can make an application on your behalf.

At the revision office, you must present two pieces of identification:

• the first must indicate your name and date of birth
  (e.g.: birth certificate, health-insurance card, citizenship card);
• the second must include your name and address
  (e.g.: driver’s licence, telephone or electricity bill).
