When an election is called, the Directeur général des élections du Québec of Québec produces the list of electors, namely that of the electors who appear on the permanent list of electors for each electoral division.

The Directeur général des élections du Québec sends these lists of electors to the returning officers, with a list of the electors admitted to exercise their right to vote outside Québec.
